Senior Staff Product Manager, Financial Risk

About the role

A senior product leadership role in Stripe's Risk team, which sets policies and builds AI, infrastructure and product experiences to manage risk for millions of businesses. The role works alongside Risk's senior technical leaders and coaches other product managers.

What you'll do

• Identify high-leverage problems that cut across Risk teams and set measurable outcomes.
• Lead major cross-Risk and cross-Stripe initiatives from shaping through adoption.
• Shape Risk's use of data and AI to identify and mitigate risk.
• Partner with engineering, data science and ML leaders on architecture and models.
• Coach and mentor product managers across Risk.

What you'll need

• Track record of delivering high-impact product or technical initiatives spanning multiple teams.
• Strong technical judgment across data, machine learning, AI, APIs and platforms.
• Deep quantitative fluency and causal reasoning to evaluate tradeoffs and measure outcomes.
• Proven ability to influence senior leaders without direct management authority.
• Experience mentoring PMs and raising product thinking across teams.

Nice to have

• Engineering and preferably ML-based technical background
• Experience applying AI and machine learning to complex, high-stakes problems at scale
• Experience with fraud, credit, payments, financial services or trust and safety
